talking to The Times of London For an interview that ran on Friday, William Shatner, who played Captain James T. Kirk on TV and in seven films, cracked a few laughs at one of the people he worked with on those projects.

At 91, Shatner didn’t forget to criticize his behavior when the cameras weren’t rolling.

“Sixty years after an incident, they are still on that path. Don’t you think it’s a little weird? It is like a disease,” he said of the criticism. “I was beginning to understand that they were doing it for publicity.”

George Takei was just the latest. The actor, who plays Sulu on the show, claimed that Shatner’s 2021 trip aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket was done to hold a “guinea pig” to assess the impact of space on an “unfit” person.

“George [Takei] Haven’t stopped blacking out my name,” Shatner said. “These people are bitter and bitter. I have run out of patience with them. Why give faith to people full of envy and hatred?”

Takei, who is very active on Twitter, is yet to comment.
