Kelly Clarkson says a strange man has been coming to her house, trespassing on her property and leaving her unwanted gifts… so, now she’s getting the police involved.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ … For the past month, the same man has been coming to Kelly’s LA area home, walking up to her porch and leaving things for her.
We’re told the guy has been leaving cards, plants, and other random items for Kelly… even though she told police she’s never met him before, and doesn’t know who he is.
Our sources say Kelly has yet to have a face-to-face encounter with the intruder, but we’re told her safety was so concerned she called the LAPD to file a report…and now the LAPD Threat Management investigation doing.
Police view the man’s alleged behavior as very disturbing — they don’t yet know whether this is a fan who meant no harm, or a situation that could be something more sinister.
Our sources say Kelly has received surveillance footage of a man dropping items on her porch … and the LAPD is trying to identify him for background checks and to assess potential threats.
Once they do that, we’re told the next step is for the LAPD to talk to them, and decide whether to make an arrest, get a restraining order, or involve mental health services.
