Jayeshbhai Jordar is the story of an unusual hero. Jayeshbhai (Ranveer Singh) lives in Praveengarh, Gujarat with his wife Mudra (Shalini Pandey), daughter Siddhi (Jia Vaidya), father (Boman Irani) and mother Yashoda (Ratna Pathak Shah). Jayeshbhai’s father is the Sarpanch of Praveengarh and is very conservative and patriarchal. After Mudra gave birth to a daughter, the sarpanch and Yashoda demanded a son from her and Jayesh. However, when she conceives again and it is revealed that she will give birth to a girl, she is forced to have an abortion. In the end, she goes through 6 miscarriages. She becomes pregnant once again. When the sarpanch and Yashoda go to the clinic to determine the sex of the child, the doctor claims she does not understand. However, she secretly tells Jayeshbhai that Mudra is going to give birth to a girl child. The doctor has clarified that the posture has become very weak due to multiple miscarriages. So she will not be able to conceive again. The sarpanch and Yashoda have decided that if Mudra has a girl in her womb, Jayeshbhai will leave Mudra and remarry. Jayeshbhai is in love with the pose and feels guilty for killing six unborn babies just because of their gender. This time, he is not ready to take another life. On the internet, she finds a video of a group of men in a village in Haryana. His aged sarpanch, Amar (Puneet Issar), and the rest of the men are unmarried. This is because after brutally killing female feticide in the villages, there are no girls left in the village. Amar, in the video, claims that he is ready to take care of any woman who comes to their village and will protect them. Jayeshbhai devises a plan and decides to flee Praveengarh to Amar’s village Ladopur with Mudra, Siddhi and their unborn baby girl. What happens next becomes the rest of the film.
