Following her divorce from Will Kopelman in 2016, the “Never Been Kissed” star revealed she is back on the dating scene after six years.
During Thursday’s episode of his talk show, “The Drew Barrymore Show,” he acknowledged his guest Whoopi Goldberg that she is dating again.
“Last time you were here, we were both single. You weren’t dating. Are you dating now?” the 47-year-old asked Goldberg.
Shortly after, the “Charlie’s Angel” The alum confessed, “I am.”
Barrymore said, “Since it’s been so many years, I started to get a little anxious, like I’m so good at being alone.”
As “The View” host said she wasn’t looking to settle down in a relationship anytime soon, Goldberg shared some dating tips for Barrymore.
Goldberg suggested, “Maybe hit-and-run is a better way to go, for now, until you say to yourself, ‘Now I really want someone to be a part of this.'”
“Right now, it may not be what you’re looking for, which is probably why you’re doing fine.”
In October, during an episode of Barrymore’s talk show, she opened up about her personal life and said she had abstained from sex since her split from ex-husband Kopelman.
The former couple has two daughters – Olive and Frankie.
The “50 First Dates” star also opened up about her thoughts on intimacy in a blog post after a fan claimed the actress “hated sex.”
“So for the record, I do not hate sex!” she wrote. Barrymore expressed, “I have finally come to the point that love and sex are not the same thing, for which I have searched all my life.”
“Plus, when you grow up and are married with kids, and you think you’re going to be with this one person for the rest of your life and then it doesn’t? That’s putting it mildly.
