In the world of scripted television, victims get justice, victims’ families get answers and the rule of law prevails.
TV is good. In real life, however, Casey Anthony gets to live his life After the gruesome death of 3-year-old Kelly. And, of course, after Casey was acquitted.
The most infamous… alleged… child-killers would have happily vanished into oblivion if they could.
Instead, she is coming out with a new documentary. and the world is feeling Anger,
Peacock may not have “streaming giant” status, but NBCUniversal’s streaming service is actually one of the better ones out there.
In addition to several existing properties, from murder She Wrote To real housewives For beloved movies, the service offers originals.
Some of them are good. Some of them are bad (but fun! Looking at you, Vampire Academy) and then This Hate.
peacock just announced Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies,
The infamous, widely condemned man himself will be featured in this limited documentary.
She speaks about the investigation, the trial, and the great media attention that followed Kelly’s horrific death.
Peacock released a belly-churning teaser trailer that, to some, feels like Casey’s version if I did,
“Why talk to me now when you can’t seem to get creative control?” We hear an interviewer asking him.
The non-advised documentary begins later this month, on November 29th. It has three parts.
Showrunner Alexandra Dean released a statement explaining the shocking project.
“Since her acquittal in 2011, public opinion of Casey Anthony has been largely convinced of her guilt by the media,” she began.
Dean continued: “What emerges is the course of several interviews that were recorded over six months.”
His statement claimed that what emerged was “a shockingly psychological portrait of Casey Anthony.”
“And,” Dean continues, “the whole story of what she says happened to her daughter.”
This, the statement said, “was weighed against multiple sources of potential evidence.”
Alexandra Dean claims: “I am sure the result will surprise many.”
“And,” she insists, “inspires the American public to see this story in a new light.”
It may seem impossible. But we all know that a documentary can distort the logic and judgment of the audience. Look how many people have seen tiger king And thought Joe Exotic was just a freak weirdo. man has real fan,
Dean also emphasized how Casey Anthony hasn’t really given an in-depth interview. Not with the cameras rolling.
People had lots of questions about his behavior – even his defenders (they exist) would have liked the answer during his trial.
Obviously, Casey can fill in some of the gaps. Do people believe that he is dependent on them?
An important element of this documentary is that Casey Anthony herself does not have creative control.
She cannot give “notes” to production or editors.
Casey controlled what he did and said on camera, but that was it. But… it doesn’t guarantee neutrality, is it?
especially in view of netflix dahmerMany people feel tired of how people refer to this infamous “entertainment”.
In Casey’s case, it’s even worse. No actor is portraying him in the sensational film. She is speaking straight. One believes that they paid him for it.
If more people thought Casey’s acquittal was just and true, it wouldn’t be a big deal. But that is not what most people believe. Look, maybe this will change hearts and minds. But for now people are upset that Mayur is giving it a platform. Kelly would just be 17 years old. He should Happen.
